The Microscan extension scanning lens from Pulsar Photonics GmbH achieves resolutions close to the sub-μm limit for laser micromachining and can turn any galvanometer scanning system into a microscanning system.
With the UV version of the Microscan extension, a galvanometer scanner, and a UKP laser, structure sizes in the single-digit μm range can be realized by laser ablation, opening up new areas of application in medical technology, microfiltration, and electronics. The Microscan extension can produce structure sizes in the range of <10 µm. It can be mounted on a galvanometer scanner like a conventional F-theta lens.
