AdlOptica GmbH has announced the Focal- πShaper 9_HP refractive beam shaper for operation with modern, high-power picosecond and femtosecond lasers.
The beam shaper is adapted to high-pulse energy, providing reliable transformation of a TEM00 Gaussian laser beams into beams with optimal intensity distribution for the creation of flat-top, doughnut, inverse-Gauss intensity profiles in the focal plane of a focusing lens. Intensity profile manipulation brings flexibility and improvement to various types of microprocessing techniques, allowing energy-efficiency and the near elimination of heat-affected zone, steep edges and accurate profiles of kerfs.
The device is designed for various micromachining applications like scribing, drilling, patterning and microwelding.
