The OBIS 640 XT from Coherent Corp. is a red diode-pumped solid-state laser module for super-resolution microscopy. With a maximum 1000-mW output at 640 nm, the module includes integrated control electronics for a reduced footprint in instruments, low heat dissipation, and versatile interfacing with RS-232, RS-485, and USB. The OBIS 640 XT also features a beam pointing stability of <30 µrad, noise of ≤0.25%, a max power consumption of 48 W, and a 125 × 70 × 36.5-mm form factor.
