The MQO laser heads are miniature OEM Q-switched solid-state oscillators that can be configured to a broad range of customer specifications. The devices, available from RPMC Lasers Inc. and manufactured by Arctic Photonics Ltd., are suitable for seeding high-power fiber amplifiers and other applications, including μLibs, lidar, bioinstrumentation and supercontinuum generation. Providing enhanced pulse energies compared with diode or fiber-laser-based seed sources, the devices are offered with pulse energies from the nanojoule to the 200-μJ range, pulse widths from 400 ps to 10 ns and repetition rates as high as 300 kHz. They are available with output wavelengths of 946, 1030, 1047 and 1064 nm.
