The Newport 818-MSCOPE photodiode sensor from MKS Instruments Inc. is shaped like a microscope slide to measure optical power at the sample plane in a microscopy setup.
Equipped with a silicon photodiode that can measure from 350 to 1100 nm at optical powers between 3 µW to 1 W, the 818-MSCOPE sensor is an ideal solution for fluorescent excitation measurements. The sensor has a footprint of 76 × 25.2 mm to match a standard microscope slide. Its sensing area is sealed and can easily be cleaned to allow for measurements within immersion media, such as water or glycerol, as well as in air.
The 818-MSCOPE sensor includes a full spectral response calibration, utilizing NIST-traceable standards calibrated with high-precision equipment. Each detector is shipped with the calibration data electronically stored in its EEPROM, as well as a certificate of calibration.
