The GN25L81 and GN25L42 from Semtech Corporation are a 2.5-G combo chip and burst mode PIN transimpedance amplifier, respectively, for 2.5-G PON FTTR optical line terminal applications. The GN25L42 works with a PIN PD and low noise technology to give sensitivity better than -30 dBm, while integrating a burst mode RSSI output to enable diagnostics reporting of receiver input power. The GN25L81 combined 2.5-G laser driver and burst mode limiting amplifier features a 2.5-G burst mode limiting amplifier and dual loop 2.5-G laser driver with eye shaping.
