The TS8401/02 from TeraSignal is an intelligent 400-G (4×100G) PAM4 modulator driver for addressing AI bandwidth needs in data centers. Built with CMOS technology, the driver uses digital link training and link monitoring for 800-G linear pluggable optical (LPO) modules, allowing to automate adjustments and introduce link diagnostics and link accountability for existing LPO modules. The TS8401/02 features automated gain control that is able to support a range of input and output voltages, 50% less power consumption compared to the average non-CMOS driver, and a compact form factor for better integration in QSFP-DD/OSFP optical modules.
