The Microlux Powders from Meller Optics are high purity, petroleum-free alumina abrasive powders for use with all hard and soft optical materials. The powders come in seven particle sizes from 0.05 to 3.0 µm for mixing with ionized water and application directly to optics mounted on spot blocks. Capable of producing finishes to 10-5 scratch-dig, they come in Microlux-R and Microlux-RZ grades for aggressive grinding of hard materials and ultrafine polishing of soft materials, respectively.
