SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 4, 2023 — The Sian BCM 85822 from Broadcom Inc. is a 200G/lane PAM-4 DSP PHY meant for hyperscale data centers and AI networks. The product features a monolithic 5 nm 800 G PAM-4 DSP with an integrated laser driver and is interoperable with Broadcom’s 200G EML. It is also compliant to all IEEE and OIF standards, supports IEEE compliant (128,120) hamming inner code, is capable of supporting MR links on the chip-to-module electrical interface, and supports optical modules from 800 G to 1.6 T.
