Zemax LLC has announced the OpticStudio™ 15 optical and illumination design software, building upon previous versions with new physics capabilities.

Major new features include zos-api.net, a new application program interface for communicating with external programs; a Chebyshev polynomial surface; an object editor for CAD-like edits in nonsequential mode; and a cost estimator for obtaining real-time prototype lens quotes, among others.
