Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a versatile technology with applications ranging from retinal imaging to laser welding. Lumedica’s OCT systems are designed to be compact and adaptable, making them suitable for a wide array of uses. The third-generation OQ LabScope features an enhanced image acquisition rate of 34 kHz and software with integrated 3D rendering.
The OQ LabScope series uses light sources in the 840 to 860 nm range. The base model, OQ LabScope 3.0, captures 34,000 a-scans per second with a maximum axial resolution of 6 µm in tissue. It is ideal for biomedical research, quality inspection, and optics education, with options for customization based on specific requirements.
For higher performance, the OQ LabScope 3.0 /X increases the scan rate to 80,000 a-scans per second. The OQ LabScope 3.0 /R and OQ LabScope 3.0 /SX models offer improved axial resolution, achieving 2-3 µm in tissue. The OQ LabScope 3.0 /XRD combines both an increased scan rate and enhanced axial resolution, along with an extended imaging range for certain materials.
For deeper imaging in highly light-scattering materials like skin or water, the OQ StrataScope, equipped with a 1310 nm SLD, is the recommended model, making it ideal for studies involving skin and similar biological materials.
To achieve lateral resolution as fine as 2 µm, microscope objectives can be used, though this may reduce the field of view. Alternatively, the system can be customized with your own objectives.
