OPTICAL LOW-PASS FILTERS
Sunex Inc.Request Info
Sunex Inc. has announced that it is producing optical low-pass filters for CMOS and CCD imaging in volume. They are used in high-resolution, megapixel applications to protect the integrity of the final image quality. The low-pass filters, incorporated into the optical train, eliminate aliasing effects -- also known as moiré fringes -- from the output image by blocking low-frequency spatial information. Several designs are available off the shelf, including ones that have an integrated IR cutoff filter to provide true color reproduction. The company also can provide custom designs.
