BELFAST, Ireland, Jan. 19, 2023 — The Imaris 10.0 microscopy image analysis software from Andor Technology Ltd. uses the Filament Tracer, combining the versatility of an Autopath intensity-based method with a machine learning approach for tracing neuron types.

The tracer can resolve various structures such as neurons, dendritic spines, microglia, blood vessels, endoplasmic reticulum, and microtubules within minutes. Creating filament models is easy via precisely designed wizards with the result previewed after each step. Automated distance measurements are enabled between filamentous structures and other stained objects.
