NIR SpectroradiometerThe SR-6500 NIR spectroradiometer from Spectral Evolution Inc. features ultrahigh resolution and new high sensitivity levels with very stable performance with three thermoelectrically cooled photodiode arrays.

The SR-6500 is also calibrated to NIST-traceable radiometric calibration standards. Included are two rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for users to take the spectroradiometer to the field for in situ measurements. Resolution at full width half maximum for the SR6500 is 1.5 nm at 700 nm; 3 nm at 1500 nm; and 3.8 nm at 2100 nm. The device features all fixed optics without moving parts for rugged reliability, along with auto-exposure and auto-dark current shutter. DARWin SP Data Acquisition software saves all scans as ASCII files for use with other software programs.

Equipped with the Miniprobe, the SR-6500 brings high resolution to a range of applications including mineral identification and analysis, soil and vegetation studies, lab applications such as solar radiance and irradiance research, materials identification and microbial diversity research.
