Dilas Diode Laser, a maker of high-power semiconductor lasers, has released a near-infrared- (NIR) emitting 60 W continuous-wave-power diode laser at 808 nm and 980 nm from a single 19-emitter bar.

Available in the industry-standard (25 mm x 25 mm) conduction-cooled package, this easy-to-integrate, high-brightness, multimode diode laser is an ideal pump source for solid-state lasers used for medical and industrial applications, the company said.

Dilas.jpgDilas said its 808-nm and 980-nm diode lasers have an operating current of 60 A and compliance voltage of 1.7 V. Beam divergence is <65° by <10° for 90 percent enclosed power.

As an added feature, Dilas can include an antireflection-coated aspherical cylinder lens to collimate the fast-axis to <12 mrad. Also, for applications requiring a collimated beam, the company said its slow-axis lensing capability can further improve bar brightness.
