The SFH 7018 is a red/green/IR LED package from ams OSRAM that can make photoplethysmography (PPG) measurements in smart watches, wristbands, and other wearable devices. The multi-LED package uses a two-cavity design that separates the green from both the red and IR LED which ensures that the light sources are optimally placed relative to their photodiodes. This reduces interference with certain measurements like heart rate which is measured by green light and blood oxygen saturation which is measured by red and IR light. The device has a height of 0.6 mm and its radiation intensity is >40% than its previous generation.
