Standa Ltd. has introduced the 5VDOM-1 ultrastable kinematic mirror mount, designed to minimize mount-induced wavefront distortion in tight spaces, laser cavities and optical subassemblies. The mirror mounts use three-point suspension in between the frontal flat spring and backplate to uniformly distribute axial forces, thus reducing wavefront distortion. The compact mounts have a 1-in. optic diameter, weigh 0.18 kg, are made of stainless steel, have lockable adjustment screws, and have fine screws with a pitch of 0.25 mm. They have a tip/tilt range of ±3° and a sensitivity of 2 arc sec. Vaccuum-compatible mounts are available.
