The Phantom S710 high-speed machine vision camera from Vision Research Inc. provides a throughput of 7 GPx/s at 87.5 Gbps.
The devices provide 7,200 fps at full 1280 × 800 resolution and >700,000 fps at reduced resolutions. Drawing from the VEO710 high-speed camera and using the same proven CMOS sensor, the S710 offers an ISO rating of 6,400 for monochrome cameras and 2,000 for color cameras with a 20-mm pixel. To support high-quality imaging, it has 12-bits, a dynamic range of 59.6 dB, and a noise level of 29.0e-. Minimum exposure can be as low as 1 µs and even down to 300 ns with the export-controlled FAST option.
The S710 uses CXP6 protocol to stream the data directly into PCIe3 frame grabbers.
