Himax Technologies’ line of liquid crystal optical technologies, in collaboration with subsidiary Liqxtal, use tunable liquid crystal-based optics for specialized applications in vision care and smart eyewear. The line includes the Liqxtal Pro-Eye display monitor that alleviates strain on the ciliary muscle and reduces eye fatigue while addressing age-related presbyopia and slowing the progression of myopia for school-aged children. The line also features the Liqxtal^® Graph which uses the company’s reflective TFT liquid crystal architecture to display digital content on the outer surface of the lenses without obstructing vision.
