The ML6404 from MultiLane is an instrument for testing photonic engines at mass production. It tests up to eight lanes of an electrical-to-optical transceiver in parallel at frequencies of >60 GHz at a highly disruptive price point. The instrument is designed for at-speed and AC testing and supports comprehensive characterization of optical engines at the wafer and package level, helping manufacturers reduce yield loss and ensure signal integrity before transceiver integration.
