Laser Beam Mirrors
Saint-Gobain Crystals, Photonic MaterialsRequest Info
BOULDER, Colo., Dec. 16, 2008 – Saint-Gobain Crystals, a division of Saint-Gobain Group, has released two high-reflective thin-film coatings for beam steering tasks in Ti:S ultrafast laser applications.
The Alpine Research Optics brand B-Max series of mirrors support Ti:S systems with very short pulse widths of 10 fs or less and delivers a high reflectivity > 99.8 percent over a spectral range of 735 to 880 nm. Operating over a spectral range of 770 to 840 nm, the E-Max high reflectors are suitable for systems in which high-pulse energy damage threshold are a primary concern.
Both coatings are designed to minimize group velocity dispersion and third order dispersion, maintaining close to a transform-limited pulse performance in ultrafast laser systems. They are available for 0 and 45° angle of incidence operation, and they are available on 25 and 50 mm diameter fused silica substrates.
Custom coatings are available for center wavelength, bandwidth and dispersion characteristics. A range of custom substrate materials and sizes are also available.
