CoolLED offers a range of LED illumination systems, enabling neuroscience researchers to advance their widefield fluorescence microscopy.
For Fura-2 calcium imaging and beyond, the ground-breaking eight-channel pE-800fura delivers fast, powerful imaging. Whilst the 340- and 380-nm LEDs cover Fura-2, the extra six LEDs cover the spectrum up to 635 nm (Cy5). This is ideal for further applications including high-speed live cell imaging, optogenetic stimulation (in vitro and ex vivo), and calcium imaging with a range of other indicators.
Lightning-fast <7 µs TTL triggering is ideal for capturing dynamic events or enhancing accuracy of ratiometric measurements. Moreover, reduced latency saves time during applications such as image tiling and when high throughput is vital. For live cell imaging, synchronizing the light source and camera minimizes photobleaching and phototoxicity for more accurate data.
For everyday optogenetics and fluorescence imaging, the four-channel pE-400max covers DAPI to Cy5, including YFP, and offers high-speed TTL triggering at 10 µs. If a greater range of wavelengths is required, the pE-4000 offers 16 LEDs over four channels, spanning 365-770 nm.
