The PLUTO-2.1 from HOLOEYE Photonics is a phase-only spatial light modulator that consists of a driver unit with standard digital video interface and a phase only liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS) microdisplay. The microdisplay includes HD resolution and 8-µm pixel pitch leading to an active area diagonal of 0.7 in. with aspect ratio of 16:9. The modulator comes in multiple versions that address the light spectrum from 350 to 2500 nm as well as featuring a fill factor of 93%, an input frame rate of 60 Hz, and an active area of 15.36 × 8.64 mm.
