ILX Lightwave Corp. has introduced a module for mounting DIL-packaged laser diodes. Each LDM-4616 16-channel laser diode mount module has four laser diode sockets, and up to four modules can be mounted in the LDM-4616 chassis and can be mixed with butterfly-packaged modules. Features include user-configurable pin headers, interchangeable fiber optic connectors and fiber management spools. Each socket provides electrical connections for laser drive current, photodiode feedback, thermoelectric cooler current and thermistor sensor signals.
