The HyperRapid NXT industrial picosecond laser from Coherent Corp. features a 10-W average output power in the deep-UV to enable ultra-precise edge ablation for organic LED displays.
The laser solution is capable of ablating a microscopic channel around organic LED displays while leaving adjacent areas intact, maximizing the active area of the display and enabling the trend toward bezel-free consumer devices. Functionality includes stable, deep-UV power modulation, pulse on demand, and variable repetition rate. Its short wavelength of 266 nm achieves a focused beam to process features <10 µm.
