The EyeCheck 7xxx series smart cameras by EVT Eye Vision Technology GmbH offer free field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).
The EyeCheck 7800 smart camera, for example, has not only a dual-core processor but also a 4.2-MP CMOS sensor. The cameras, in combination with EyeVision 3.0 software, capture extremely small objects at high speed. The FPGA, which enables image capture and evaluation in real time, can be programmed with graphical tools. Inspection programs are created using drag-and-drop programming.
The cameras are useful for applications where little space is available and can be integrated into existing operations. The devices are suited for web inspection, pattern matching, fast measurement technology and object counting.
