The SPL PL90AT03 IR laser diode from ams OSRAM offers 75-W peak power and narrow 110-µm aperture for performance in long-distance lidar and time-of-flight sensing applications.
A cost-effective plastic package for consumer and industry applications supports short pulses with a duration from a few ns to 100 ns. The single-channel device features multi-junction technology consisting of three vertically stacked emitters in a single laser die mounted inside a radial plastic package, enabling the laser to produce optical peak output power in a 30-ns pulse of 75 W at the device’s maximum forward current of 25 A. The diode can be used in 3D sensing applications such as robotics, factory automation, drones, range finders, smart cities, and logistics.
