The TSHF5211 from Vishay Intertechnology is an 890-nm high speed IR emitting diode for optoelectronic applications such as in smoke detectors. The emitter diode has a typical radiant intensity of 235 mW/sr at a 100 mA drive current while offering good spectral matching with silicon photodetectors. The TSHF5211 features a -1.0 mV/K temperature coefficient of VF, a switching time of 15 ns, a typical forward voltage of 1.5 V, and a ±10° angle of half intensity.
