The IMA hyperspectral microscope from Photon etc. Inc. has been announced by SphereOptics GmbH.
The microscope delivers spectral and spatial information in the VIS, NIR, and SWIR wavelength ranges, rapidly mapping photoluminescence, electroluminescence, fluorescence, reflectance, and transmittance. Based on high-throughput global imaging filters, the IMA allows users to perform complex material analyses such as solar cell characterization and semiconductor quality control. It can also study IR markers in complex environments such as live cells and tissue. The system also allows users to obtain darkfield images and a contrast of transparent and unstained samples such as polymers, crystals, or live cells.
