LE02 Pro, one of the BeamRazor™ series LiDAR transmitters from Focuslight, generates a line-shaped laser beam with short-pulsed high peak power up to 700 W, and a small divergence on the narrow side and a customized FOV with high uniformity on the long side. The laser module serves as the laser source of beam steering LiDAR systems, which will have their line beam scanning across the desired FOV by a rotating mirror or MEMS.
LE02 Pro has an extensively optimized design for short pulses, excellent heat dissipation, and high reliability. The module has a very compact size (44 mm x 45.3 mm), about 20% smaller compared with the previous generation, but generates 25% more power output. This module has a nano-second short-pulsed driver embedded, where the laser pulse width of the output is about 5 ns, 15% shorter than the previous generation.
LE02 Pro could maintain high peak power at a wider operating frequency (~700 W@10 kHz~75 kHz, pulse width <5 ns). It utilizes Focuslight’s unique automotive-grade collimation lens and glass homogenizer and can achieve <0.15°@FW1/e2 collimation in the horizontal direction as well as 11° or 25°@FWHM flat-top profile in the vertical direction (customized FOV is possible), together with a uniformity >85%.
BeamRazor™ LE02 Pro line beam transmitter brings leading performance in the LiDAR Tx market, higher maturity and manufacturability, and low cost for mass production. Combined with a rotating mirror or MEMS for beam steering, and APD or SPAD/SiPM array for signal receiving, LE02 Pro could be used as an ideal line laser solution for hybrid LiDAR fulfilling the requirements of ultra-high line density, high resolution, and long-range detection in the automotive-grade mass production.
