Advanced illumination, the originator of LED lighting for machine vision inspection, is announcing the release of their new FD2 High Intensity Back-lit Flat Diffuse Lights, an improved take on Ai’s popular FD series. The FD2 Flat Diffuse Lights provide roughly twice the brightness as their predecessor, making them ideal for a range of high throughput machine vision applications.
In addition to their increased brightness, the FD2 Diffuse Lights also feature improved structural rigidity and better thermal efficiency, all for the same cost as Ai’s original FD Series. Whether you’re looking to inspect highly specular surfaces or provide diffuse illumination for shadowed objects, the FD2 Series will provide the performance needed for the most demanding diffuse applications.
The FD2 Series is pre-engineered for scalability, expandable in 1-in. increments from 3 in. up to 46 in. in length and width. The diffuse lights also feature five wavelength options as well as a polarization light conditioning option. The FD2 can be operated in continuous or overdrive strobe modes, depending on the chosen control configuration.
