The GLG A 50-1800 goniophotometer from GL Optic measures car lamps and other lighting devices used in the transportation industry.
Fully automated and programmable, the device is designed for laboratory measurements and production tests with lamps measuring from 1.8 to >2.5 m used in the automotive, railway, maritime, and aviation industries. The goniometer is controlled by a Panasonic industrial programmable logic controller with high processing speed of 10 ns per instruction. Communication with the goniometer actuators is implemented via the RTEX real-time Ethernet bus. Communication between goniometric software installed on the PC and the controller uses an Ethernet network. The goniometer axis movement is driven by Panasonic servo motors combined with high precision gears from Apex Dynamics. The largest servo motor achieves a power of 1.5 kW.
Applications include use in high-precision and dynamic systems such as industrial robots or computer numerical control machines.
