Gas-detecting modules from smartGAS are now available from Electro Optical Components Inc.

The nondispersive infrared (NDIR) sensor modules can detect extremely potent SF₆ greenhouse gas (sulfur hexafluoride) insulating leaks from high-voltage switches. SF₆ is extremely harmful to the environment. The devices can detect SF₆ gas at levels as low as 0.5 ppm.
