The Matrox Gecho event-logging tool has been announced by Matrox® Imaging for the Matrox Rapixo CXP line of frame grabbers.
With the goal of streamlining video acquisition, it helps developers optimize image capture and ensure proper performance. The utility logs acquisition activity so that users can troubleshoot capture errors while measuring latencies and execution times to identify performance bottlenecks. Offered with both the Matrox Imaging Library X and Matrox Design Assistant® X vision software, it records events generated by the Matrox Rapixo CXP device driver and saves them to a JSON or CSV file. Running concurrently with the device driver, Matrox Gecho logs acquisition activity, then trace files can be loaded into Google Perfetto for viewing on an interactively navigable graphical timeline.
