OWEN, Germany, Aug. 3, 2020 — Dynamic Reference Diffuse SensorThe DRT 25C dynamic reference diffuse sensor from Leuze electronic GmbH + Co. KG meets the requirements of packaging machines for confectionery and baked good applications.

Sensors must continuously and reliably detect a wide range of products and films on the conveyor belts of primary and secondary packaging. The sensor uses three light spots and reference technology to reliably detect small, flat, tall, or spherical products. Even irregular shapes and contours or products with openings are detected. Its wide scanning range allows detection of continuous pieces. Guarantees higher throughput due to reliable detection and zero setup time when changing products.

No sensor realignment is required when products or packaging materials are changed over, reducing the setup time required and enabling higher product volumes. A universal mounting position is provided for all objects, and additional functions can be conveniently integrated into the machine control via IO-Link.
