OZ Optics' sensor simultaneously measure strain and temperature along the entire fiber length with high-resolution. By wrapping or embedding standard telecom fiber inside a power lines pipeline, users can detect when & where the structure is being strained or heated and correct the problem before failure occurs. It is ideal for monitoring pipelines or power lines. The sensor could also be used in detecting fire, corrosion/erosion and intrusion sensing.
