Deformable Mirrors
Edmund OpticsRequest Info
Edmund Optics has released high-performance deformable mirrors
that correct optical aberrations through wavefront manipulation and control, introducing
differences in the optical path length across the entire wavefront. The mirrors
can be integrated via a Gig-E connection and a dedicated Ethernet card into a polarization
beamsplitter-based Twyman-Green interferometer. Suitable for use in adaptive optics
applications, the mirrors are good tools for use in combination with wavefront sensors
and real-time control systems. They have 32 radially packed actuators that control
the shape of the silver-coated precision cellulose membrane. They have a 10-mm active
area and offer 15 μm of actuator max stroke. They are suited for tabletop applications
as well as OEM integration.
