The OMB-TEMPBOOK-66 from Omega Engineering is a data acquisition system that adds voltage- and thermocouple-measurement capability to laptop PCs. It can also provide an alternative to plug-in boards for desktop systems. An enhanced parallel port interface or PCMCIA link connects 12-bit, 100-kHz data acquisition and transfer to the computer. Built-in analog capability allows measurement of eight differential or 16 single-ended channels. A rechargeable battery pack option is available for complete portability.
