The Hyper-Cam Airborne Mini compact IR hyperspectral camera from Telops has been announced by SphereOptics GmbH, simplifying the conduction of airborne hyperspectral surveys without compromising system performance.
The IR hyperspectral imaging system is equipped with a cooled SLS detector that features 320 × 256 pixels and an extended spectral range in LWIR region from 7.4 to 11.8 µm, which is ideal for the detection and identification of gases and minerals. A reduced weight of <24 kg and a size of ~28 × 35 × 38 cm3 enables quick installation into small aircrafts within minutes, increasing efficiency and reducing operational costs of airborne measurement campaigns.
Software continuously adapts system parameters to everchanging flight conditions, and an active stabilization platform, coupled with a re-engineered image motion compensation system, provides mapping and targeting capabilities.
