Camera Reference Design KitThe THSCU101 Camera Reference Design Kit from Thine is a 13-MP Phase-Detection Auto-Focus (PDAF) USB Video Class (UVC) kit addressing a wide range of embedded, machine vision, and streaming camera applications.

The THSCU101, the first offering in the series, is a USB Video Class camera. It is based on the THP7312 image signal processor, Sony’s IMX258 13-MP CMOS PDAF image sensor, and Cypress’ EZ-USB® CX3 USB 3.0 camera controller. It provides users with optimized image signal processor and USB control firmware, reference circuit schematics, and scalability for high image quality in production. It delivers full HD and 4K ultra HD with PDAF technology to provide the ultrafast auto-focus functionality preferred for live video streaming applications. The kit’s single 35 × 36-mm board allows flexible integration, and the image signal processor firmware compensates for CMOS camera module variations to achieve high unit-to-unit image quality in production.

Applications include body cameras, barcode reading devices, surveillance cameras, webcams, augmented reality glasses, biometric devices, vision assistance glasses, microscopes, medical scopes, document scanners, and more.
