The E3AS-HL CMOS Laser Sensor from Omron Corp. provides reliable detection of difficult targets that cannot be detected with reflective photoelectric sensors.
Helping to eliminate the need for complex installation design and adjustment, the sensor uses an algorithm for high-speed sampling at 10,000 ×/s. Unique accumulation processing increases sensitivity by amplifying the slightest amount of light bounced off the target. The manufacturing technology adjusts the receiver lens position in the sensor to 4 μm, enabling reliable detection of any target color, material, and shape. The E3AS-HL sensor reliably detects curved and irregular-shaped glossy automotive parts, multi-colored and glossy food, packaging, and more.
The sensor reduces the time required to adjust the sensor installation position, angle, and threshold values.
