BELFAST, Northern Ireland, Sept. 15, 2015 — Andor Technology Ltd. has announced the iKon-M 912 back-illuminated CCD camera, optimized for high well depth and maximum photon collection per pixel.
The ultrasensitive camera delivers up to 95 percent quantum efficiency, read noise of 3 e− and a pixel well depth of 300,000 e−. Negligible dark current and vacuum thermoelectric cooling down to −100 °C enables the use of extremely long exposure times for weak signal detection.
An electronic design facilitates multiple readout speeds ranging from 50 kHz to 5 MHz for fast frame rate usage or focusing.
Applications include astronomy, luminescence detection, absorption measurement and Brewster angle and photon emission microscopy.
