Chilas BV’s compact narrow-linewidth widely tunable laser module is suitable for a range of sensing applications like structural health monitoring using Fiber Bragg gratings, lidar, optical chip inspection, optical coherence tomography, and THz generation. The laser uses a fully chip-based wavelength filter and is capable of sweeping across the C-band (1528-1568 nm) at a speed of 40 nm/s. The tunable laser module allows for quasi-continuous sweeping across the full tuning range without mode hops over each 0.2-nm segment and a millisecond pause per segment transition.
