Designed to improve uniformity in laser scanning applications, the M-Shaper from Holo/Or Ltd. creates a unique 2-D, M-shaped intensity profile, with sharp edges in a specific work plane.
Unlike Gaussian or top-hat spots, the M shape, when integrated over a scanned line, creates a uniform intensity profile. This provides cleaner results in laser materials processing and can enable very strong weld seams.
