The Komodo lidar point cloud processor application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) chip from Cepton improves lidar performance and reduces cost for mass-market adoption.
The integrated, custom system-on-chip is designed to maximize the technical advantages of patented lidar architecture and improve point cloud quality while replacing several merchant silicon devices. It features sophisticated digital signal processing such as filtering and noise reduction, resulting in more accurate range and reflectivity measurement. With a peak throughput of up to 12 million points/s, it enhances point cloud quality for higher resolution, enabling more accurate object detection and tracking at longer distances.
