The TrueLase™ Yb 22/400-915-3kW ytterbium-doped active optical fiber from OFS Fitel LLC is a double clad fiber designed for high-efficiency, reliable, multi-kW fiber lasers.
Tests in a forward-pumped fiber laser operating at 3-kW output power showed no power reduction after several thousand hours required in industrial applications. TrueLase fibers use TrueClad™ Low Index Polymer Coating, which has been specially developed for high reliability and performance. Production processes are designed for long lengths, guaranteeing consistently high quality with low tolerances and high-cost efficiency. Compatible with numerous fibers and components, the optical fiber allows laser manufacturers to build their own multi-kW fiber laser cavities.
