Fiberguide Industries Inc. has developed precision V-groove silicon chips for accurately aligning optical
fibers to optoelectronic devices such as lasers and photodiode arrays. The V-grooves on the silicon
wafers have submicron accuracy and have low cumulative tolerances as a result
of photolithography and chemical etching. Chips can be custom made to meet user specifications.
