ITZEHOE, Germany, Jan. 24, 2022 — 3D Depth Sensing Camera TechnologyOQmented GmbH has announced a mobile, compact 3D depth sensing camera technology based on lidar.

Applying a micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) laser scanner, the technology is designed around a patented structured light projector for accurate, high-resolution scans across an adjustable large field of view. The camera projects dynamically changing IR patterns by applying the Lissajous laser scanning technology, which is key to frame rates in the kilohertz range.

By concentrating eye-safe laser energy in a single spot to be dynamically scanned by the biaxial MEMS mirror, typical depth range and resolution limitations of standard 3D lidar cameras with stationary IR dot projectors can be overcome.
