Ensenso N40 and N45 3D cameras from IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH are designed for 3D applications in robotics and automated series production.
A fiber-reinforced plastic housing results in lightweight stereo vision cameras with Gigabit Ethernet. When mounted on a robot arm, for example, this means less stress on the robot mechanics. Rounded edges reduce risk of injury and IP65/67 standards protect against dirt, dust, and water spray. An improved IR projector enables higher light output and has an optimized heat management, resulting in better data quality or higher clock rates. The projector is optionally available with blue illumination in the visible range or with IR illumination.
The cameras include two monochrome CMOS sensors and are equipped with screwable general purpose input/output connectors for trigger and flash. Power-over-Ethernet allows data transfer and power supply to be realized even over long cable distances.
