KEYNOTE: “From the Design Lab to the Factory Floor: How Optics Manufacturers Move Swiftly from Concept to Creation”
Presented by: Ulrike Fuchs, asphericon
Ulrike Fuchs, vice president of strategy and innovation at asphericon GmbH, keynotes the Photonics Spectra Optics Conference, a virtual showcase featuring more than a dozen presentations on pertinent topics in the field of optics. Fuchs’ session will provide an in-depth look at the manufacture of optical components and systems, and the detailed processes needed to move from concept to creation across products and technologies.
Fuchs’ keynote will be available live starting at 11 a.m. on April 27.
Additional sessions will include an optics market analysis on the effects of COVID-19, from Tom Hausken, senior industry adviser at The Optical Society (OSA); “Designing Optical Assemblies for Manufacturability,” from Edmund Optics’ Katie Schwertz; and “3D-Printed Freeform VIRGO Optics,” from NanoVox's James Field.
The two-day Photonics Spectra Optics Conference runs April 27-28. Registration is free for the event, which is offered exclusively online.
